Your local councillors and the Council's Green Spaces team have funded improvements to the running track in Wath.
Wath Councillors used their Capital budget to help pay for the changes, which will benefit the local community who use the facilities.
Wath Running Club wanted the running track to be improved. Thanks to the funding, the running track has been resurfaced and widened.
This work supports the Wath Ward priority of improving and enhancing community facilities and green spaces, to ensure that they are well used and accessible to all.

Rotherham Council has secured just under £20 million of Government funding. The funding will deliver two projects in the town centres of Wath and Dinnington.
The £8.9m scheme at Wath will include the demolition of the existing library and the creation of a brand-new library to create a modern, inviting, and inclusive community facility. The redevelopment will be designed to open up connectivity between Biscay Way and the High Street and encourage visitors into the town centre.
Investment in the surrounding public realm aims to draw people into the town centre and provide more things to do. The redevelopment will include commercial space to support a vibrant mix of businesses in the town centre.
The site relates to the existing library and public realm which is council-owned land. It is not expected that any acquisition of land or property will be required to deliver the project.
