The new price guarantee came into effect on 1st October 2022, for a household with typical use the cost will be £2,500 per year.
The price guarantee applies to standing charges and unit rates rather than the amount you pay. If you use less than the typical amount (based on two people living together) you will pay less and, if you use more, you will pay more.
The various schemes below have all been confirmed as remaining in place up to April 2023.
If you are eligible, you should have already received a payment for a number of these schemes.

If you pay by Direct Debit, this money should have already been paid into your bank account.
If you received the money by cheque and have not yet paid it in to your bank account, please ensure this is done as soon as possible, because funds that have not been claimed will be lost.

This scheme is funded by large UK energy companies who are obligated by the regulator Ofgem to upgrade a certain number of UK homes each year with retrofit measures.
Retrofit is the process of making changes to existing buildings so that energy consumption and emissions are reduced.
