have your say

The Council is consulting on using new powers to enforce against motorists driving along High Street and Bridgegate in the town centre outside of permitted hours, and at three other locations.

The new powers would help improve road safety and reduce congestion at known problem sites. Find out more and have your say here. Closing date 23 December.

The Grinch at P&D's

Guess who's visiting P&D's next Wednesday! Pop in to the store in the Old Town Hall on 21 December and meet the one and only Grinch in person.

He will be posing for photos throughout the day and will also be collecting donations for the charity SUDEP. There will be a tombola too plus free hot chocolate and mince pies.

Christmas at the Markets

The Christmas Gift Market takes place this Saturday along Effingham Street, ideal for picking up last minute presents and stocking fillers!

The indoor and outdoor covered market will be open Monday to Saturday too.

A Warm Welcome

Warm welcome

In view of the rising cost of living, Rotherham Council and its partners will be offering a Warm Welcome at venues across the borough this winter.

The Council is offering a range of brand-new activities for residents of all ages at libraries, including board game groups and crossword sessions. The events will be free to access.

Libraries will also be open as usual for anyone wanting to loan out books or learn more about local history.
