Cabinet approves flagship leisure development works

Rotherham Council's Cabinet has approved plans for work on the exciting new Forge Island leisure development to start within weeks.

A new way of funding the flagship scheme provides better value for money for the Council and taxpayers. 

Development partner, Muse has already secured a number of high-profile tenants for the regenerated riverside site, including Arc Cinema, Travelodge and five new eateries.

Christmas Lights Switch On coming soon..

Here's a festive date for your diary - Rotherham Town Centre's Christmas Lights Switch-on will take place on Saturday 19th November.

Sheffield-based band Jungle Lion will be performing plus look out for the walkabout characters, a wondrous light performance, gift market, food & drinks and more.

The free, festive, family fun takes place from 3pm to 6pm.

Half-term fun for all the family

If you're looking to keep the kids busy this half-term, Artist Johnsey and Flux Rotherham invite you and all the family to make your mark in a free collaborative and fun drawing session. 

Join them on Tuesday 25 October from 10am, at Grimm & Co. in the Old Town Hall.
