Rotherham Council's Cabinet has approved plans for work on the exciting new Forge Island leisure development to start within weeks.
A new way of funding the flagship scheme provides better value for money for the Council and taxpayers.
Development partner, Muse has already secured a number of high-profile tenants for the regenerated riverside site, including Arc Cinema, Travelodge and five new eateries.

Here's a festive date for your diary - Rotherham Town Centre's Christmas Lights Switch-on will take place on Saturday 19th November.
Sheffield-based band Jungle Lion will be performing plus look out for the walkabout characters, a wondrous light performance, gift market, food & drinks and more.
The free, festive, family fun takes place from 3pm to 6pm.
