Clifton Learning Partnership were recently successful in a funding bid, which will see two brand new beehives located within the Ward.
Ward Councillors in Rotherham East provided funding for the project using their Community Leadership Fund.
The new beehives will allow Clifton Learning Partnership to produce their own honey, which they plan to sell to raise funds to supplement their social supermarket.
The supermarket allows members of the community to pay a £5 subscription fee and collect food and toiletries for their family on a weekly basis.

It’s important that children learn to talk and listen, so they can communicate, make friends, have fun and learn about the world. Helping children to learn these skills can be as easy as talking, listening and playing with them whenever and wherever you can, but sometimes it can be hard to know where to start.
Tiny Talkers Rotherham supports local parents, carers and professionals to boost children’s vital speech, language and communications skills by providing lots of ideas and activities such as:
- Singing along with your child to everyday activities - “Wash, wash, wash your hands….”
- Talking about what you’ve found on a mini adventure – ask them to describe the leaves on the floor, or the sounds they can hear.
- Playing memory games and taking turns to remember things - “what did we buy from the shop today”?
Not sure where to start?
