Over the Rainbow Cafe Bar open for business

A very warm welcome to Over the Rainbow Cafe Bar!

Located at 17 High Street (next to its sister business Yella Brick Road), Over the Rainbow is now officially open for drinks (Bubble Tea is a speciality!), cakes and bakes.

Food and alcohol will start to be served in the next few weeks so watch this space or follow them on Facebook here.

Town centre housing transformation underway

Three major new housing developments in the town centre are really starting to take shape.

The sites on Sheffield Road, Westgate and Wellgate, will include over 170 mixed-tenure homes providing much-needed affordable new housing, as well as regenerating derelict sites and supporting town centre businesses through increased footfall.

Council Leader Chris Read and Councillor Denise Lelliott checked on the progress of the ongoing construction works at the new Westgate Riverside development (the former Sheffield Road car park) last week. Read more about the developments here.
