Forge Island Car Park Closure

As part of the preparations for the construction of this key town centre development, please note Forge Island car park will be temporarily closed from Monday 8 November and will re-open on Monday 29 November.

Visitors to the town centre will still be able to use alternative parking facilities, including the 35 Red Zone spaces at Drummond Street car park where parking is free for two hours Monday to Friday. All the Council’s town centre car parks remain free on Saturday’s and Sunday’s.

Christmas Lights Switch-On Returns

We’re pleased to confirm this year’s lights switch-on will take place on Friday 26 November!

Join us from 5pm for lots of entertainment across the town centre including music, street theatre, light installations and walkabouts.
