Update on Maltby Ward Funded Projects
Although face to face contact has been limited this year, it has not stopped Maltby Ward Councillors, Cllr Beaumont and Cllr Rushforth, supporting residents and Ward Priorities. This year has shown that the role of a Councillor is dynamic, diverse and evolving to suit the needs of residents and the coronavirus pandemic restrictions in order to keep everyone in the community safe.

Surprise Visit for a Maltby Resident
Each year Age UK Rotherham organises a Christmas Party for a large number of their clients. However, due to Covid restrictions, this year’s celebrations could not take place in the usual way. Instead, they talked with Rotherham United and MEARS (Rotherham Council's housing repair and maintenance contractor) and decided that they would go out and visit members throughout the Borough and present them with Christmas gifts.
Iain Cloke, Age UK Rotherham’s EngAgement Officer, was asked if he knew any Rotherham United Fans. A special man from Maltby, Keith Stinger, fitted the bill.

Get ready for the census
The census is coming on Sunday 21 March 2021. By taking part, you can help to inform decisions on services that shape your community, such as schools, doctors’ surgeries and bike lanes.
It’s important you fill in your census questionnaire because the information you share affects the life of every single person living in England and Wales.
Because these things matter to us all, everyone needs to complete the census. Do not worry, your information is protected by law. That means government officials dealing with payments or services you receive cannot see it.
Census Day is Sunday 21 March. You can fill yours in online as soon as you get your access code in the post. If your household circumstances change on Census Day, you can let The Office for National Statistics (ONS) know.
If you need help, you can visit www.census.gov.uk where there’s a wide range of support services available.

Making Our Money Go Further
An exciting new project has come to Maltby with the aim to change the way we think and talk about managing money, with community led solutions to the issues that matter most to local people.
Through community support, delivered by Rotherham Federation, the project will bring people together to form community led groups and local one to one advice delivered by Citizens Advice.
This project will provide the tools people need to deal with the issues that are most important to them.
It’s about supporting local people to make real change happen.
