A reminder that Rawmarsh Ward Councillors have allocated some of their capital budget to be used as a ‘Community Chest’.
Capital funding can be used to purchase pieces of equipment and items of fixed assets (or improvements to them) that will be of use or benefit for more than one financial year, such as buildings, street furniture, fixtures and fittings and computer equipment.
Ward Councillors would like to invite community groups and organisations within the ward to bid into the Community Chest for capital projects between £500 and £2,000.
The deadline for applications to Community Chest is Friday 31st July, 2020. If you would like an application form or have a project that you would like to discuss further or any other queries please contact Julie Colley using the contact details below.
Help Keep Rotherham Open
With national lockdown measures beginning to ease, Rotherham residents are being reminded that the additional freedoms we get back come with additional responsibility. It’s still essential that everyone continues to play their part - if we don’t, more restrictions will need to return.
To Help Keep Rotherham Open it's more important than ever that:
Rawmarsh Ward Councillors contributed some of their Devolved Budget to enable Harding Avenue Drop-In Centre to have a new central heating system installed. They also provided funding to update the Fire Safety System. The Centre is now toasty, warm and safe for Social Eyes to use! Social Eyes provides day provision for adults with mild/moderate learning disabilities and Autism.
Friends of Rawmarsh and Parkgate Greenspaces
Friends of Rawmarsh and Parkgate Greenspaces have resumed litterpicking activities, albeit socially distanced litterpicking, meaning that only six of group can meet up. For further information take a look at their facebook page
