Skills and Employment Coach
It has also been a year since Louise Jackson from Coalfield Regeneration Trust started working in the Maltby as a community employment and skills coach - and what a successful year it has been!
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust, is the only organisation dedicated to providing support and resources to former mining communities. Louise has helped residents of Maltby gain new jobs, write and update CVs, improve on interview skills, explore training options and find support to overcome challenges around welfare and well-being.
It has not been all office-based work around a computer, Louise has organised chats over a cuppa, keep fit classes and further learning courses in criminology to improve well-being and create a relaxed atmosphere.
As part of their work alongside groups and leaders in Maltby, Yorkshire Sport Foundation wants to find out about activity levels and how Covid-19 has affected people. We are conducting the survey in all of the priority places we support across South and West Yorkshire. The survey is for everyone over the age of 16.
The Rotherham Council website is being kept up to date with the latest information about changes to Council services and support which is available through local and national government schemes. You can access this information using the links below:
During the lockdown period councillors have been unable to hold face to face meetings with the residents they represent, however they are still contactable and would be happy to speak with you about any issues or concerns that you have. Their contact details can be found below.
