Community Bingo raises funds
During the lockdown residents of Campbell St and Rossiter Road, Greasbrough, have raised over £250 through playing street bingo and raffles (social distancing, of course) with prizes donated by local businesses. They have also held a street pie and pea supper to raise funds for the local area. The funds they have raised will be used to make improvements to the local area, as well as supporting a children's hospice.
Local businesses
Many of our local businesses responded to the coronavirus pandemic by offering special offers and services to people who were self-isolating, shielding or volunteering to help their neighbours out. Ward Councillors Sarah Allen, Rob Elliott and John Williams want to thank those who have gone the extra mile, and would encourage all residents in Wingfield ward to continue to shop and secure services locally to support these businesses when the lockdown restrictions are lifted.

Proposed Post Office relocation
Objections to a proposal to relocate the Post Office from South Street to Wagon Road are still under consideration following the direct intervention by local Ward Councillors with the Post Office. Letters of support and petition from local residents have all been submitted to the Post Office to be included in the consultation. Further updates will be provided in future e-bulletins.

Hubs are supported by an annual budget which is used to make improvements within neighbourhoods.
We are committed to working with local people to improve your local area, and we need your ideas and views Project suggestions are requested from tenants, residents and groups and can be submitted via the Ward Housing Hub website.
Projects must be on land owned by the Council's housing service and benefit more than one council tenant. They also need to have along term benefit and meet local ward priorities (listed above).
