Rotherham to host Yorkshire Day celebrations

Rotherham Council is proud to announce that the town will be the official host for Yorkshire Day and will be flying the flag for the County on Saturday 1st August

Mayors, Civic Leaders and VIPs from all over Yorkshire will be gathering in Rotherham to participate in this official civic celebration which will include a thanksgiving ceremony in Rotherham Minster and street parade through the town centre then on to Clifton Park.

River Don salmon super-highway

The culmination of 20 years hard work has begun at Masbrough Weir in the town centre, to help salmon back to the River Don which they haven’t been able to call home in over 200 years!
