The weather may be getting colder, but there's still plenty going on this November for all age groups.
Fun for pre-schoolers:
Events for older children and young people:
- Saturday 3 November, Poppy Crafts, Clifton Park Museum, 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. Free drop-in session for children.
- Saturday 3 November – Halloween Family Bike Ride at Rother Valley Country Park, 11am – 1pm. Meet at Cycle Hire Centre.
- Saturday 3 November – Bonfire & Fireworks at Clifton Park. Funfair opens 4.30pm, Bonfire lit 6.30pm, Children’s Fireworks 6.45pm, Main Fireworks 7.45pm.
- Saturday 3 November, 10 November and 17 November – Riverbanksy Art Workshops for 12 – 24 year olds, Riverside Library, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm.
- Thursday 22 November – Drawing Workshop with children’s author Liz Million, Wath Library, 4pm. Please book a place through the Library.

- Thursday 8 November, Reclaim the Night Banner Making Workshop, Clifton Park Museum, 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm. Suitable for adults/older children.
- Saturday 10 November – Street Party to Commemorate 100 years of End of WWI. Rotherham Outdoor Covered Market, 11am – 4pm.
- Sunday 11 November – Remembrance Sunday/Armistice Day Parade and Service. Parade meets Effingham Square 9.00am, Service at Rotherham Minster 9.45am, Parade departs Rotherham Minster 10.45am, Wreath laying ceremony and two minutes silence at Clifton Park Cenotaph 11.00am.
- Thursday 15 November – Christmas Lights Switch On, Rotherham Town Centre, 4.30 – 6.30pm, alongside this there will be a Christmas Gift Market throughout the day, along Effingham St, Rotherham Town Centre, 10.00 am – 7.00 pm.
- Thursday 15 November – Finds surgery at Clifton Park Museum, part of the Yorkshire Portable Antiquities Scheme. Please bring your archaeological objects for identification. 1pm – 3pm.
- Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November – Festival of Running Weekend, Rother Valley Country Park, 7am – 4pm.
- Tuesday 20 November, World War One Ancestry at Clifton Park Museum, 10.30 am - 12.30 pm. Free drop-in activity.
- Tuesday 20 November - The Commonwealth War Graves Commission talk followed by Q&A session, Clifton Park Museum, 1.30 – 3.30 pm.
- Saturday 24 November – First World War Object Handling, Clifton Park Museum, 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. Free drop-in activity.
