Update on modular classroom installation
As part of our work to address capacity at Dargavel Primary School, preparatory work is starting from Saturday 17 June ahead of the installation of three modular buildings in the school grounds.
Initial works will involve establishing the site and laying the foundations.
To enable the foundation works, the first pedestrian access from Arrochar Drive into the school grounds will be closed.
Pupils should use the second pedestrian access next to the school car park.
The modular buildings are being installed on a phased basis in July, providing six additional classrooms for the new school term starting in August.
To facilitate these works, the contractor is accessing the school grounds from a temporary access point off Arrochar Drive onto unused land to the east of the school.
Every measure is being taken to minimise the impact on school activity before the school term finishes, in agreement with the school headteacher and senior leadership team.
