Students in Redbridge are celebrating success with their GCSE results.
Redbridge Council congratulates all our students, teachers, support staff, and parents on their dedication, sacrifice, and hard work.
Cllr Lloyd Duddridge, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, attended Mayfield School in Goodmayes to join the excitement.
He said: "It was great to join students at Mayfield School to celebrate their GCSE results.
“All of the students in Redbridge have fought so hard for every grade they have achieved. They thoroughly deserve their success and the exciting future ahead of them, where the sky is the limit. I'm sure many will now be enjoying some well-earned celebrations with their families and friends.”
Redbridge Institute of Adult Education was also celebrating success. Students at the institute achieved fantastic GCSE results, with an outstanding 100 per cent pass rate in Maths.
More school children in the borough will enjoy healthier and safer school journeys as Redbridge’s successful School Streets Programme is rolled out at six new schools in September.

A serial fly-tipper captured on CCTV dumping fridges, freezers, and other white goods in the borough has been successfully prosecuted by Redbridge Council. He will now have to pay more than £9,000 in fines for his grime crimes.
Did you know mammoths roamed where we now live, work and play?
That's why we've adopted a mammoth as Ilford's mascot in tribute to its historic inhabitants. Now, the Ilford mammoth needs a name.
Enter our competition to name Ilford's mammoth, sponsored by Time 107.5 FM, and you could win a £50 voucher to spend at the new Mercato Metropolitano Ilford
Please send your suggestions to community@redbridge.gov.uk

As part of Sexual Health Week, we are offering a unique opportunity to learn and discuss these important topics.
Please join us for a special drop-in session and sexual health workshop on Monday 9 September, between 10am and 12pm at VIA-R3, Ilford Chambers
