We are writing to remind you that from Monday 8 April 2024, Selective Property Licensing Scheme 4 comes into force. It applies to rented properties in 15 wards in the borough. These wards are: Aldborough, Barkingside, Chadwell, Churchfields, Clementswood, Cranbrook, Fairlop, Goodmayes, Hainault, Loxford, Mayfield, Newbury, Seven Kings, South Woodford, and Wanstead Village.
Since the 1 November 2024, Selective Property Licensing Scheme 3 has been in force for rented properties in Ilford Town and Valentines wards.
A selective property licence is required for Landlords and Agents who rent properties that contain either, i) a single person ii) cohabitating couples iii) or a family of related people and the property is located in one the following two selective licensing scheme areas, Selective Scheme 3 & Selective Scheme 4.
To those who already have a Selective Property Licence from previous Schemes 1 or 2 and it is still in date, your licence is still active and valid and you will only have make a new application when it expires.
