Two Ilford restaurants who left their local area looking messy after repeatedly failing to store their commercial waste properly have been successfully prosecuted.
Ali Curry House and Ceemo Food Centre, located on the High Road, were known to the Council following ongoing issues relating to the storage of their commercial waste.

Redbridge Enforcement Officers recently teamed up with their colleagues in Street Cleansing to take targeted action in fly-tipping hotspot zones in the borough, and it has already led to the identification of a local business behind 16 bags of builders' waste found dumped on the street.
The special joint patrols are in addition to the regular patrols carried out across the borough to tackle fly-tipping and identify the culprits creating untidy neighbourhoods by selfishly ditching their rubbish around Redbridge.
The latest Redbridge Action Day took place on Friday 2 November, in Ilford Town Centre, involving Redbridge Council, Redbridge Police and other local partners.
On Redbridge Action Days (RADs), we work with partners to target a specific area and tackle illegal street activity and antisocial behaviour, business and residential premises for waste and licensing compliance, and we speak to residents to address concerns and encourage people to report any issues to us.
During the day, we met with over 180 people and distributed over 50 personal safety alarms.
Police made two arrests due to 14 stop and searches, and Enforcement and Police Officers issued 47 Fixed Penalty Notices. Over 30 visits to business premises identified ten non-compliant businesses, while residential premises were identified for potential Licensing and HMO investigation.
