The next Redbridge in Conversation event will take place this evening at The Forest Academy, Hainault, IG6 3TN. Redbridge in Conversation events are organised to facilitate community conversations, empower our neighbours to share views on our local area and provide guidance and support.
This event is looking at information and support for Redbridge residents on managing the current increase in the cost of living and information on the different ways of accessing the Household Support Fund.

Burglary incidents in Redbridge have fallen by a staggering 65 percent since 2018 following significant Council investment and partnership working with the Police and local people.
After a spike in burglaries in 2018, Redbridge Council took urgent action, increasing the number of uniformed Enforcement Officers, improving street lighting and investing £1.5 million into CCTV and ANPR cameras tracking cars coming in and out of the borough.

Redbridge Institute of Adult Education has launched its celebration of 120 years of adult education.
The launch of its 120-year celebrations was marked by a Careers and Education Fair attracting more than 400 visitors and a special afternoon tea attended by Mayor of Redbridge, Thavathuray Jeyaranjan, Leader of the Council Cllr Jas Athwal, and Council Chief Executive Claire Symonds, along with staff and partners.
We want to make Ilford Lane a safer and more comfortable place to shop, to live nearby and visit. To do this, we are seeking views on how you would like Ilford Lane to change, improving how it looks and works.
We want the views of people who:
- shop in Ilford Lane
- live nearby
- go to local schools
- or visit local parks and open spaces
We are also keen to get the views of those who currently don’t use the area but might if changes were made.

The Directory is packed with expert advice and practical tips to save you money throughout the year. If you are struggling, the Directory will signpost you to council services, community organisations and national schemes that can help.

Redbridge’s Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) programme is an opportunity for children and young people to get involved in fun activities, make new friends, and enjoy a daily meal during the holidays.

The London Borough of Redbridge and the LTA have announced a partnership to invest in and refurbish public park tennis courts in Redbridge.
Ten park tennis venues will be renovated, with an investment of £424,064, helping ensure that quality facilities are available for the local community.
The project is part of a nationwide investment by the UK Government and LTA Tennis Foundation, delivered by the LTA, to refurbish public tennis courts across Great Britain and open up the sport to many more people.
Ley Street car park will be closed from Monday 20 March, in preparation for its demolition in April. The demolition will take about six months and then be redeveloped.
Please use nearby car parks such as the Exchange, CitiPark, and the car park by Lynton House.
