Welcome to the latest update from the Community Hubs programme
To keep residents and partners informed, we send regular newsletters about both individual Hubs, and across the programme. If you’d like to receive these, please register for regular updates.
Over the past 18 months, the Community Hubs team has been working with local people, partner organisations and council officers to identify key priorities across the Gants Hill area. Over 1,000 people have been involved in these conversations.
We'd like to invite you to a series of workshops, led by local residents in partnership with the Hubs team, exploring how we can work together to clean up our streets, improve women's safety and wellbeing, beautify Gants Hill town centre, support young people across the Gants Hill area and bring neighbours together.

Hot food will be served at the workshops, provided by Tanas Events and Biryani Guys. If you'd like to attend, please click on the workshop links above to book your ticket or view all the workshops here. Friends, family and neighbours are also welcome.
Information gained from the workshops will feed into the development of the future Gants Hill Community Hub, which will provide residents access to services on their doorstep and a flexible space to run their own activities.
(Please note that if you have already signed up for some of these events please double-check the dates as some changes have been made due to recent events.)
Ahead of the workshops, we'd like to introduce you to our new Community Organisers for Gants Hill: Delwar Hussain and Helen Sorrell. Delwar is a Redbridge resident with a passion for fostering and supporting individuals. Helen has a background in community engagement and journalism, and has a passion for giving people a voice and ensuring that it is heard.
If you'd like to meet up with one of them for a coffee or a chat, please email helen.sorrell@redbridge.gov.uk or delwar.hussain@redbridge.gov.uk directly. We'll be spotlighting other new team members in future newsletters.

- Hainault residents and organisations showcased their artwork at a celebration looking at the theme of 'belonging' across the Hainault area, which took place at Hainault Forest Community Association in June. Read more here.
- In Gants Hill and Hainault, we have run selection processes to appoint design teams to move each of these Hubs forward - which included local residents and partner organisations. We'll provide an update on the outcomes in our next update.
In the meantime, if you'd like to find out more about the Community Hubs programme, please explore the website.
You can also find out more about ways to get involved in Seven Kings, Gants Hill and Hainault on their dedicated pages.
