If you want to offer a home to people fleeing Ukraine, you can become a ‘sponsor’ as part of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
Please use the official government service to record your interest in becoming a sponsor. You can do this as an individual or as an organisation.
Anyone in the UK with a spare room or home can use this service, as long as:
- you can offer accommodation for at least six months
- if you’re not a British citizen, you have leave to remain in the UK for at least six months

If so, there are specific things you can access to help support your finances.

We’re pleased to announce that we have issued 7,600 Free School Meals vouchers for £30 each (£15 per child per week) so that children don’t go hungry over Easter.
Having provided families with food vouchers during all school holidays in 2021 and the period up to March 2022, the Council is pleased to have extended this support through Easter. All those who received vouchers in the previous school holiday will receive a voucher again for the Easter holiday.
The food vouchers are funded by £2million that Redbridge Council has set aside through the Household Support Fund (HSF) to support the Redbridge families and individuals most in need of extra support. Redbridge Council also recently allocated funding to the tune of £200,000 to local food banks across the borough.

Can you help us identify these people who were caught on camera dumping their rubbish on our streets?
If you think you know who they are, head to the Redbridge Wall of Shame to view footage of their selfish actions.
And please let us know if you recognise any of them by email
