Redbridge to restart recycling and green garden waste collections

The Leader of the council, Councillor Jas Athwal, has announced that Redbridge will restart recycling and green garden waste collections

The Leader said: “I’m pleased to announce that recycling and green garden waste collections are due to start again in the coming weeks. I’d like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during this difficult and busy time. We may not be able to take all your green waste or recycling in one go. We will collect as much as we can and take what remains on your next scheduled collection date.”

Green garden waste collections

Fortnightly garden waste collections will start from Monday 11 May. Please check your collection date as it may be different to last year.

Recycling collections

Our separate recycling collection will start again on Monday 18 May. Please present your rubbish and recycling separately from this date. Collections start from 5am so please put your rubbish and recycling out before then. If you have COVID-19 symptoms: please double bag your rubbish, especially used tissues, disposable cleaning cloths or other personal waste, and leave for 72 hours before placing out for collection.  ► More on recycling

Chigwell Road Recycling and Reuse Centre

Chigwell Road Recycling and Reuse Centre is open for essential refuse disposal on Monday 11 May. You should only visit to dispose of waste that is likely to cause harm to a member of your household.
