Let's celebrate your colleagues and their long service to education |
|
 |
It's time to nominate your colleagues for Teach Portsmouth's long service to education event, to be held at Portsmouth Guildhall on 8 July from 4pm - 6pm. Those who are nominated and accept their invitation will enjoy afternoon tea and a trophy giving ceremony in the Mayor's Suite.
We are asking schools/colleges to put forward up to four members of staff who have worked in Portsmouth for 20 years or more. Due to venue capacity, the event is limited to a 100 people. To help manage capacity fairly, we are limiting schools/colleges to four submissions. If schools/colleges have more than four people, we are operating a waiting list, which is allocated on a first come, first served basis. We would still recommend schools/college put forward four team members. Additional nominations can be emailed to teachportsmouth@portsmouthcc.co.uk
To help co-ordinate this process, we would recommend each setting appointing a single person to oversee submissions. Please visit the Teach Portsmouth website for more information. Deadline for submissions is Wednesday 20 May.
We would like to thank the Salterns Academy Trust and University of Portsmouth for sponsoring this event.

Support your students through life changes with a FREE toolkit |
|
 |
The summer time is always a whirlwind, especially for young people who are moving on. To help you navigate these transitions, we’ve put together a free transitions toolkit. These resources are designed with our clinical team to give young people the emotional tools they need to thrive over these next few months.
Save time on prep with these simple, high-impact tools:
-
“Moving on" video: A 15-minute, plug-and-play session perfect for exploring change.
-
Visual prompts: Use our "Change happens" and "It’s a big moment" posters to help normalise the uncertainty of growth.
Don’t forget: Kooth is always free, safe, and confidential. Students can access live 1:1 chats with practitioners from 12pm–10pm on weekdays and 6pm–10pm on weekends. They also have 24/7 access to self-help tools and peer support.
