Please take a few minutes of your time to complete the survey and let the team know your views. Alternatively, please feel free to contact the team directly at Neurodiversity0-19Enquiries@portsmouthcc.gov.uk if there are any views that you would like to share.

Transition arrangements year 6/7 |
|
 |
We are continuing to support year 6/7 transition through the central collection and sharing of information for pupils transitioning between Portsmouth schools.
We have scheduled two virtual briefing sessions to talk through the transition information sharing arrangements. We will talk through the timeline, the process and the information that is collected and will answer any questions. You are encouraged to join online even if you have previously completed the process.
The briefing sessions will take place online on:
- Monday 2 February 2026, 3.30pm - 4pm
- Wednesday 4 February 2026, 3.30pm - 4pm
Please sign up using the online form so that the meeting invite can be sent to staff directly. The link for these meetings has also be published for both events on the PEP calendar.
We would strongly encourage all primary, junior and secondary schools to send at least one member of staff to one of the briefing sessions. You are welcome to send more than one member of staff. Anyone involved in transition is welcome to join. The content will be the same at both events.
We have also scheduled a transition networking event on Thursday 11 June 2026, 3.30pm - 5.45pm at the Civic Offices. We have reduced this to one date and will offer more, but shorter appointments during this event (than previous years) so that we make best use of time for those attending. Please save this date in your diaries. Full details about the purpose and logistics of this will be shared during the virtual briefings.
If you have any questions regarding year 6/7 transition, please contact Sarah.Christopher@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
Ofsted report for Highbury Primary School |
|
 |
A new Ofsted report is now available for Highbury Primary School, following a school inspection on 18 November 2025. Inspectors highlighted:
"Pupils are positive about their school. They appreciate belonging to this supportive and nurturing community. Pupils are happy and they feel very safe. They socialise well together at breaktimes, enjoying the variety of activities available to them. Unkindness and bullying do not concern pupils because they are very rare. Pupils trust staff to help them resolve any worries or concerns that they might have. Pupils really appreciate the school's far-reaching pastoral work, particularly the support offered for their mental health."
