Are you a Portsmouth resident, or own property in the city? We want your opinions on our draft empty property strategy, which aims to tackle the issue of vacant private homes across the city.
The draft strategy explores ways to brings homes back into use as early as possible by supporting property owners to rent or sell their empty homes, and improving collaboration across council departments and external partners so the council knows about empty homes more quickly.
By working together, the council hopes to make dealing with empty properties a shared responsibility that will lead to more homes available for those who need them, such as those on the housing register.
