EV chargepoints |
|
 |
Portsmouth City Council has an adopted EVI (electric vehicle infrastructure) strategy. As part of the strategy we are keen to deliver chargepoints in PCC own car parks, and encourage private car park operators to install chargepoints for public use. We would be keen to understand if any schools are interested in EV charging provision for their staff and visitors and/or use by the general public.
We are currently preparing to go to tender for a supplier in regards to our LEVI (local electric vehicle infrastructure) funding which will provide mainly on-street chargepoints, but plans to also include off-street car park locations which are in residential areas. Again we would be keen to understand if any schools would be able to support this initiative for resident overnight charging.
Please share your feedback with Hayley.Chivers@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
EV chargepoints grant Schools are reminded that there is also a grant for eligible state-funded education institutes to provide support towards the costs of the purchase, installation and infrastructure of electric vehicle chargepoints.
