Green Football’s Great Save - 2 weeks left! |
|
 |
From now until Monday 14 April 2025, schools can take part in the UK’s biggest football campaign tackling climate change — and it’s not too late to get started.
How to enter:
-
Log classroom activities: Download free sustainability worksheets (KS1, KS2, KS3) and track your progress on the website. Each green goal logged gives your school an entry into the prize draw.
-
Host a “Sew It to Save It” session: Repurpose old sports kit with a fun, hands-on sewing workshop. Watch Leeds Forward Patrick Bamford give it a go — and inspire your students to give kit a second life.
-
Organise a “Ginormous Jumble Sale”: Clear out your lost property and unused sports gear. Host a school-wide sale or swap shop and donate leftover non-uniform items through The Salvation Army’s ‘Recycle with Michael’ scheme.
-
Win fantastic prizes. Participating schools could win a Sky Schools Experience, a virtual visit from author Dan Freedman or an Usborne book bundle.
Ofsted report for Bramble Infant School and Nursery |
|
 |
A new Ofsted report is now available for Bramble Infant School and Nursery, following a school inspection on 11 February 2025. Inspectors highlighted:
"Many ingredients make up what one parent captured perfectly as the ‘nurturing, supportive and creative environment, where staff have a genuine care for the children’s well-being, growth and education’. The incredibly strong partnership with parents rubs off on pupils, who are happily settled in school and attend well. They are appreciative of their teachers. The diversity of the school community and the many home languages are widely celebrated. Parents welcome the workshops and invitations into the classroom so that they can be, as one described it, ‘united in our children’s education’."
Help young people flourish at home too |
|
 |
The children in our care are diverse, including the age at which they come to us. However, they are never too old for you to make a difference to their lives.
“I want to be loved by a family that puts me first.” - Megan, aged 12
We urgently need more foster carers in and around Portsmouth with the enthusiasm, availability and commitment to provide older children with the care and opportunities they deserve. This includes those between the ages of 7-12 and those with complex needs.
Do you have the time and patience to help these young people flourish?
