My Scary Story Workshops: Engaging Creativity Through Fear |
Schools are invited to participate in "My Scary Story Workshops", an innovative educational program designed to enhance students’ skills in storytelling, performance, and media production. This workshop series is aligned with key areas of the UK National Curriculum, offering a unique opportunity for students aged 12-17 to explore creative expression while deepening their understanding of essential subjects like English, Drama, Media Studies, and Art & Design.
The workshops provide a hands-on experience that not only supports academic learning but also fosters personal growth, teamwork, and confidence. We believe that your students will greatly benefit from the engaging and practical nature of this program.
More details about how these workshops can be seamlessly integrated into your school’s curriculum can be found here. We would love to discuss how we can bring this enriching experience to your students.

Cottage Grove Primary School - Ofsted inspection |
Cottage Grove Primary School, part of the University of Portsmouth Academy Trust, recently received their Ofsted report following the graded inspection in July 2024. They were delighted that two key areas were judged to be outstanding: behaviour and attitudes, and personal development.
The inspection report stated: "The school is at the heart of the community. Pupils, staff, parents and carers comment on this. Diversity is celebrated and nurtured throughout the school. Everyone is welcome here and valued for what they offer to the school’s diverse community."
The school has made positive changes to the curriculum and is now working hard to ensure that these and their high ambition for the pupils are having the fully intended impact on the quality of education.
A stepping stone to independence… |
Some young people need support with the transition from home or being in care to living independently. They need to build confidence and develop everyday practical skills to prepare them for adult life.
Kate Jellicoe shared: "My husband and I saw Supported Lodgings as a way to support young people who needed help, whilst leaving us enough time to continue our careers. Seeing them become successful at work, college or university, and ultimately progress to their own home to live independently is great."
If you have some life experience, an appreciation of the issues young people may come across, and have a desire to help them get to grips with adulthood and reach their potential, you could be a Supported Lodgings carer.
