Vaping awareness presentation |
|
|
Portsmouth Youth Perspective Participation Group meets monthly to help make improvements to mental health services, support and access throughout Portsmouth. The group is youth-led where they decide on priority areas to focus on and work on in the group sessions and they also lead on projects of interest to them.
The group are interested in topics around addiction and raising awareness of these topics. In particular, the group had noticed a rise in young people and their peers who vape and addiction around vaping. They wanted to create a presentation to raise awareness of vaping to other young people in a way that is more appealing to young people than current information that gets shared on vaping.
This piece of work has been done in partnership with the Drug and Alcohol Service and Solent NHS Trust Public Health Nursing Team Southampton.
Please deliver this presentation to your pupils, going through the presentation slides and taking note of any notes attached to the slides to help support you in delivering the presentation.
If you have any questions, please contact Cara Lucas at Cara.Lucas@solent.nhs.uk.
