Inclusion
Final PEIA offer - online inclusion and wellbeing platform membership - fully funded |
|
|
Deadline: Friday 29 March 2024
Do you want the analytical advantage when it comes to inclusion in your school? Want to delve into the data and then demonstrate how you have an evidence-led approach to diversity and inclusion? The GEC Platform is the only online solution and is a world-first award winning solution for schools.
As you may know, Portsmouth have commissioned the GEC (Global Equality Collective) with PEIA funding to create a citywide offer to help us all with all things inclusion and well-being. With over a third of PEP schools now signed up to the GEC Platform to better understand their school culture, we want you all to take advantage of this before it is too late!
“The judges said this is a much needed tool in developing awareness of diversity and inclusiveness in schools and education! The testimonials from schools were strong with substantial evidence on the implementation of the tool and the platform seems to be gaining traction. Diversity, inclusivity and equity in EdTech is such an important topic and GEC is clearly doing this in a big and powerful way.” BETT Awards, Highly Commended, Transformational Impact 2024 category
How can I access this? PEP schools or colleges can sign up to this offer for free until the end of March this year. You will get access as a PEP school or trust until March 2025 (this means you can get 2 years of benchmarking when you sign up now!)
To find out more, please email Gemma (Head of Operations) at office@thegec.education, or sign up online now to take up this offer today.

Updates from Teach Portsmouth |
|
|
1. Let's celebrate your colleagues and their long service to education
It's time to put your colleagues forward for Teach Portsmouth's long service to education event, to be held at Portsmouth Guildhall on 26 June from 4pm - 6pm. Those who are put forward and accept their invitation will enjoy afternoon tea and a trophy giving ceremony in the Mayor's Suite.
We are asking schools and colleges to put forward up to four members of staff who have worked in Portsmouth for 20 years or more. Due to venue capacity, the event is limited to a 110 people. To help manage capacity fairly, we are limiting schools/colleges to four submissions at this time. If schools/colleges have more than four people, we are operating a waiting list, which is allocated on a first come, first served basis. We would still recommend schools/college put forward four team members.
To help co-ordinate this process, we would recommend a school appointing a single person to oversee submissions. Please visit the Teach Portsmouth website for more information.
We would like to thank the University of Chichester Academy Trust and Salterns Academy for sponsoring this event.
2. Thank a school superhero - deadline extended!
Thanks to your efforts, even more primary and secondary school staff are being recognised for going above and beyond in our community. However, there are still schools who don't have any thank you messages at all. We have therefore extended the deadline to Friday 15 March 2024.
We need all primary and secondary schools to pull together and include information in email newsletters and on social media to encourage families and colleagues to get involved. Please use the text below with a link to our website to say thank you.
Help us thank our school's superheroes!
We need your help to recognise staff in our school who have gone above and beyond for you. Teach Portsmouth are asking primary and secondary schools in the city to thank their school superheroes.
To do this, all you need to do is visit the Teach Portsmouth website and share your thank you message using their online form. It's as simple as that!
Thank you messages will be shared with us in June 2024 on a special printed document to display. Visit www.teachportsmouth.co.uk/thankyou and share your message today!
