Free and low-cost summer holiday activities for SEND families |
With the summer holidays just around the corner, we appreciate it can be challenging to find activities to keep children and young people occupied during this time, especially ones which are free or low cost and suitable for families with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Portsmouth SEND Local Offer has put together a guide that tells you what’s going on in your local area over the next eight weeks. The page will be updated as more events are added during the summer holidays.
For more information on free and low-cost activities, visit the Portsmouth SEND Local Offer website today.

GCSE headline figures for 2023 |
This is a reminder that Mike Stoneman will be requesting that schools provide their GCSE headline figures with the summer 2023 results. This will allow the council to share with the media and Members some top-level analysis for the city as a whole based on these headline measures, as well as enabling Education Information Services to provide the initial profiles for secondary schools.
Please send your results through to Education Information Services (education.informationservices@portsmouthcc.gov.uk) by 11.00am on Thursday 24 August 2023.
If you haven't received the original email with the template, please email EIS to be sent a copy of the template.
Full 2022/23 end of year attendance and changes datafeed |
Please will all schools please ensure they provide the Education Information Services Team with a final attendance and changes file after registers close on the final day of term? This will help us to ensure the new data can be updated efficiently in September.
Non-SIMS schools will need to upload their files to SSE; SIMS schools will need to complete a manual transfer. If you are unsure of how to create a manual transfer in SIMS, please email the EIS team's inbox: education.informationservices@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
Primary attainment data collection |
Thank you to all involved for providing the data for the DfE's attainment data collections this summer. We are very grateful for your support, sending the EYFSP, Phonics and Key Stage 1 TAs to our team and for uploading your Key Stage 2 TAs to the DfE's Primary Assessment Gateway.
You can view your data on Perspective Lite. All headteachers should have accounts for this system. If you have forgotten your password, please use the onscreen reset option.
Remember that if you want to have Multiplication Tables Check data in your school's profiles, you will need to send the data to Education Information Services via SSE (as per the guidance that you have been sent during the attainment period).
