Neurodiversity platform |

A Family Assist neurodiversity platform is now available. It contains resources, guidance, and information that can be used alongside the neurodiversity profiling tool, which provides a holistic view of a child or young person’s needs, as well as strategies that can be put in place to help manage those needs in different areas of life - such as at home, at their early years setting, school or college, and in the community.
To access the platform, visit www.solent.nhs.uk/familyassist and click the 'Neurodiversity' tab on the menu.
The Neurodiversity Team provide specialist advice and support to families and schools who are completing the neurodiversity profiling tool. The neurodiversity platform is a developing piece of work and the team welcome any comments or feedback. Please email Claire.Mason@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
If you need any support using either the profiling tool or neurodiversity platform, please contact the Neurodiversity Team via Neurodiversity0-19Enquiries@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.

Help needed to create a scheme to get people into the classroom as a teaching assistant |
|
|
Teach Portsmouth's recent information events have collectively welcomed 200 people through the doors of Portsmouth Central Library to find out how to become a teaching assistant in the city. While these information events will continue, the team would like to link people with schools directly through a new scheme. We would like to invite headteachers across all settings in Portsmouth to help shape what this could look like.
We would like to understand the needs of schools in the city and whether a type of scheme is needed. Early ideas include the creation of a 'taster morning' where schools could sign up to promote either volunteering or jobs with a tour, presentation and networking session which could be promoted at Teach Portsmouth information events and online.
If you are interested in participating in the creation of a taster scheme, please email teachportsmouth@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
