 Shaping Portsmouth will be holding their annual conference at Portsmouth Guildhall on Friday 27 January 2023 with the theme of their vision: Transforming Portsmouth Together.
The event will include a variety of speakers and updates from across the city. The central focus will be on the past, present, and future of what is happening to transform our city, how you can play a part, and what Shaping Portsmouth are doing to support their vision.
Speaking at the event will be Andrew Cullen, CEO of Portsmouth Football Club, Police Superintendent Claire Jenkins of Hampshire Constabulary, and Leader of Portsmouth City Council Cllr Gerald Vernon-Jackson will also be back for a council update and a Q&A.
 A new street food eatery has opened in Portsmouth's city centre. Nosh Box located opposite Portsmouth and Southsea railway station, is a new pop up serving fantastic brunch burgers, loaded hash browns and freshly squeezed juices.
Owners Gary and John have been on the food scene in Portsmouth and Southsea for a number of years. Since 2019 they have run Nosh Box as a street food business operating around the South Coast festival scene. But now they have a permanent home for their business to grow.
 The University of Portsmouth has partnered with the Ingenuity programme to develop exciting new start-ups and grassroots initiatives that can create great businesses.
With a strong commitment to promoting inclusive and diverse entrepreneurship, Ingenuity has created a flexible programme designed to fit alongside work, study or family commitments. Budding entrepreneurs can gain one-on-one support from specialist mentors to develop good ideas into a business plan and be in with a chance of receiving significant investment and support.
The programme is open to everyone.
 Millions of pounds of investment, funding and development opportunities will be on offer to the South’s start-ups, scale-ups and businesses at #VFS22 Festival of Innovation. The region’s biggest innovation showcase is an opportunity for the brightest minds and big thinkers to share experiences, insights and knowledge.
Among the highlights will be the hotly contested Battle of the Pitches competition with a £10,000 prize on offer from headline sponsor CATAX. 15 inspirational businesses from the area have made the shortlist with their pitches featured on the event's website.

17 November at the Ageas Bowl
 Portsmouth's free, monthly networking group for SME's returns with business advice from our own SME Officer Joe Gamlin and an advisor from GetSet Growth Solent. Both will be on hand to talk about the latest available business support, funding and available grants.
First Friday Network is a relaxed, informal networking event open to all.

 The University of Portsmouth's Innovation Connect has launched a new partnership with Barclays to support businesses along the south coast to innovate, grow and develop.
Interested Portsmouth businesses are invited to a launch event to hear from some of the entrepreneurs in residence as well as meeting other businesses already calling Innovation Connect Eagle Labs home.
