Finding the way is now way easier

white trainers on pavement

New signs on pavements are popping up across Portsmouth, showing the easiest walking routes to key destinations. The green signs are in the same style as existing signs that show where a pavement is shared-use, for walking and cycling. They will be placed on several public rights of way and are part of our work to make walking around the city easier for everyone. They will show the direction and distance to places such as train stations, The Hard bus interchange, and the seafront, as well as the time it takes to walk to them.

Young people SEND a message

Local Offer Inclusion SEND survey 2020

Improvements to transport services, and help with moving into adult life - these are some of the issues that young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) raised in a survey earlier this year. Portsmouth young people aged 13–25 gave their views on the support they are receiving: whether they feel it's enabling them to prepare for adulthood, whether they feel their views are listened to, and what they think about the Local Offer website. We hope businesses and organisations across the city will read the results and listen to the young people's views.

For more information about services for young people with SEND, visit www.portsmouthlocaloffer.org
