As part of the EY SEND Partnership, Nasen has received further funding to deliver five further core training webinars, ‘Meeting the Needs of Every Child’. (Delegates only need to attend one).

This is basic SEND training for practitioners and childminders and covers the legislation for SEND, the role of the SENCo and key person, the identification of SEND, provision for SEND including the graduated approach and partnership with parents and sensitive conversations.

The dates and times are as follows:
Thursday 16 September, 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Monday 1 November, 1.00pm - 3.00pm
Wednesday 8 December, 6.00pm - 8.00pm
Thursday 18 January, 10.00am - 12.00pm
Wednesday 16 March, 6.00pm - 8.00pm

Book via the nasen website: https://www.nasen.org.uk/early-years
In light of the new EYFS reforms and the need for all practitioners to be knowledgeable about the early identification of SEND and be confident to build strong relationships with parents, this course is particularly relevant.

New Portsmouth Safeguarding Children Partnership (PSCP) Website Content

Some of you may be aware that we have been reviewing the content and layout of our PSCP website, to try and make it more user friendly for busy practitioners. All of the subject pages in the Information for Professionals have been re-written to ensure they contain up-to-date information and that the layout is easier to navigate. We have also produced a One Minute Guide library for quicker reference and the Learning from Practice section has been revamped to hopefully make this information more accessible.
