Your views - consultation results

Bransbury Park

Thank you to everyone who completed the survey or participated in interviews earlier this year to help shape exciting plans to build brand new swimming pools, a sports centre and community hub at Bransbury Park.

The results of the consultation can now be viewed here:

We wanted to involve residents in shaping the plans for this project from the beginning and will be using the survey responses to develop plans further. These plans will then be shared with the community before going through the statutory planning process for a decision to be made.

GB team selection for six Portsmouth gymnasts!

PSG gymnasts

Six gymnasts from Portsmouth School of Gymnastic (PSG) have been selected to represent Great Britain at the TeamGym European Championships in Guimaraes, Portugal in December.

Due to the pandemic the TeamGym European Championships were moved from October 2020 to December 2021. British Gymnastics (BG) needed to ensure that the previously selected gymnasts were still available and fit to compete. This selection review was also an opportunity for other gymnasts across the country to fight for a place on the GB team. Following four months of gruelling assessments, the BG selection panel selected the teams.

We are proud to announce that six Portsmouth gymnasts, who train at PSG in Farlington, were selected: Tia Collins (22), Liana Dorney (17), Sarah Long (31), Eloise Beeson (16), Rochelle Oxley (27) and Emma Walker (17).

Both Rochelle and Sarah are GB veterans. Rochelle will be representing GB for the 6th time, and Sarah a record breaking 7th championships. We wish you all the best of luck.
