Miltoncross Hamper Appeal

Students at Miltoncross Academy have been working in tutor groups to make the best hamper and fill it with food and items for the homeless. The hampers were judged by the charity SSAFA, a veteran and serving Navy and Army personnel. Donations were taken by the students to the British Red Cross in Commercial Road and The Society of Saint James’s shelter on Milton Road.

As well as donating items to the homeless the students and staff have also been raising money for SSAFA and over £2000 has been raised through a charity raffle, selling sweets and doughnuts. Read More

Victory Suite Christmas Lunch

A fantastic festive feast for nearly eighty people was prepared by students who use Miltoncross Academy’s Victory Suite inclusion base as a way to celebrate the end of term and welcome the Christmas break. Roast turkey with all the trimmings, plus a delicious gammon and winter vegetables were prepared by students under the watchful eye of Mrs Vidler. The quality of the food was outstanding and most of the diners struggled to find room for their mince pie and custard desserts.

Victory Suite Christmas Lunch

This was a great event and an important opportunity for the students to work together on a shared goal. Read More
