 Aspirations week in Portsmouth is from the 20th - 24th January 2020. During this week we will be launching the government's 'Hungry Little Minds' campaign which focuses on improving early communication, language and literacy development as a key priority for Early Years children. During the week we will be inviting settings and childminders across the city to get involved by joining in with activities to engage children and their parents in conversations and activities to support their early learning. 'Hungry Little Minds' has been designed to encourage parents and carers to chat, play and read more with their children. There will also be an aspirations week celebration for all our Early Years achievements across the city. Practitioners and childminders will be invited to a meeting to share ideas and inspirational practice in Portsmouth. As a city we are aspiring to be outstanding or good in all our settings and we want to use this as an opportunity to say thank you for all your hard work.
