Welcome to a special edition of the bi-weekly e-newsletter of Events & Activities in & around Penrith - where we will be focussing on tomorrow's Christmas light switch on in Penrith!
Delivered by the Penrith Business Improvement District (BID), the Council were pleased to have yet again been able to support the Penrith Christmas Sparkle (Christmas Light Switch-On) event with a £5,000 grant.
Get in the Christmas spirit with Penrith Christmas Sparkle!
Penrith Sparkle will take place on Saturday 16 November from 2pm - 7pm and include family friendly entertainment with local live music acts, hot food & drink stalls, roaming performers, small rides, Santa and a festive tractor parade! The event then culminates with the switching on of the Christmas lights in Penrith.

There will be a variety of festive activities taking place at the Cornmarket Bandstand and in the Penrith Library. Check out what's on throughout the day.
Check out the Event Map & Tractor Parade Route (featuring Mr Wilson's Second Liners) - where vehicles will take two laps of the route!

Penrith Library will be hosting two sessions for children on Saturday 16 November:
- Children's Story Time: 1.30pm and 2pm
- Christmas Card Crafting: 2pm and 3pm
No need to book, just head to the children's area in Penrith Library.

Going to the Penrith Christmas Sparkle event? If you feel inclined, there will be opportunities to donate to various charitable organisations.
The Lions Club of Penrith will be gathering donations for Children in Need, and Cumbria Blood Bikes will also be present, offering you the chance to support their vital work.
The proceeds from the festive parade will also go directly to Penrith Mountain Rescue.
