Trustees’ Week 2024 runs from 4 – 8 November 2024, and Cumbria CVS are running a campaign to increase the number of people becoming Trustees in brilliant charities across Cumbria.
We think the benefits of being a Trustee are huge:
- Using your skills, knowledge, expertise and/or lived experience to shape the direction of an organisation
- Gaining Board level experience
- Giving back to the community or to a cause that means a lot to you
- Relatively low time commitment (in comparison to other volunteer positions) of 2-4 days per year
- The ability to grow your network by meeting other Trustees in the Trustee Network in Cumbria
- The opportunity to attend Cumbria CVS free training and networks, as a Trustee position is voluntary
You are invited to sign up to an online information event on Thursday 7 November, 6.30-8pm: ‘Get On Board and Become a Volunteer Trustee’ to find out more and ask questions, please visit the Cumbria CVS website.
You can listen to some great, inspiring local causes and find out if they need skills that you have – ask questions, interact and be inspired! You can also browse trustee positions currently advertised through the Cumbria CVS Volunteering in Cumbria Portal.
