Lowther Castle: Tales of the Golden Egg An Easter Garden Trail
What do Daffy Duck, the bottom of the sea, Fabergé (the great Russian jeweller), Aesop (the ancient Greek story-teller) and Eric Clapton have in common? The answer is Golden Eggs!
Golden Eggs are the theme of this year's 2024 Easter Garden Trail at Lowther Castle.
For those who have yet to do a garden trail at Lowther Castle, the idea is for visitors young and not so young to follow a series of story panels throughout the gardens. One panel will point you to the next and each will contain a code letter. Save up the letters, work out the word they spell, then go to Admissions, recite the word and claim an Easter prize!
The trail is included with admission to the Castle and Gardens. The 2024 Easter Garden Trail will take place between 23 Mar 2024 and 15 Apr 2024.
Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family. The trail takes place between 28 March and 14 April, from 10:30am to 3:30pm, so come along and explore Acorn Bank - there'll be ten activities across site to entertain and stretch little legs.
Prices are £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and dairy or vegan and Free From* chocolate egg.
*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.
