Anthems of Rock @ Penrith Playhouse
Live Rock Music!
Some people just wish they lived in another era, the era of classic rock!
Anthems of Rock takes you back to the heyday of 80’s rock. Telling the story of how 3 men born in the 90’s grew up listening to what they define as ‘real music’ and have to come to terms with the fact that not only were they born too late to experience it but the music industry has moved on; or has it?
This rock opera is like nothing you’ve seen before! With fireworks, flames, amazing lighting and exacting attention to detail with 3 West End credited vocalists and backed by one of the best 5-piece bands on the planet, relive the hits from Journey, Aerosmith, Queen, Bon Jovi, Kiss, AC/DC, Van Halen, and many more!
If you are a fan of live classic rock, this is the show for you!
Details:
- Venue: Penrith Playhouse Theatre, 1 Auctionmart Lane
- Date: Saturday 28 October 2023

Penrith Welcomes Diversity - Art Exhibition
EVAN Gallery 4a in Penrith is hosting an exhibition of art works made by refugees, asylum seekers and minoritized artists in October. The exhibition will run for ten days, beginning on Saturday 14th October and promises to be a wonderful showcase celebrating diversity. The artists come from different heritages, ethnicities and cultures and this is a special opportunity for these artists to share their talents with the community.
The exhibition is part of an art project supported by the former Eden District Council Arts and Culture Development Fund, and is run as a collaboration by Penrith and Eden Refugee Network (PERN) and BlueJam Arts CIC. Claudi Hayward, PERN’s Community Outreach Officer, says ‘Some of the paintings are full of history, pain, resilience, and hope. Without words, this event is for people to tell the stories behind the artwork, and connect them with their roots.’
Venue: EVAN Gallery 4a, 4 Corney Pl, Penrith CA11 7PX
