Bin collections continue during COVID-19
We're working hard to provide as many services as possible during the coronavirus outbreak and, for now, refuse collections are running as normal.
Please put out your green or brown bin on your normal collection day – and help us by continuing to minimise waste and recycling as much as you can.
Our advice is to postpone DIY work, clear-outs and projects that generate extra waste until restrictions are lifted. Please do not place DIY waste in with your normal household rubbish.
If anyone in your household is showing possible symptoms please place used tissues and wipes in a disposable bag, in line with Government advice.
This should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other waste. Put this bag aside for at least 72 hours before placing it in your outside bin.
Remember to wash your hands after putting bins out for collection and bringing them back in.
We've had to suspend some operations to keep people safe and essential services running during this challenging time.
Garden waste collections will no longer resume in April as planned. Residents are encouraged to home compost where they can.
Bulky waste collections have been suspended until further notice and all bookings cancelled. We’ve contacted customers to confirm this.
Our household waste recycling centres at Weston Mill and Chelson Meadow are closed until further notice.

Unfortunately we're not currently taking requests for new or replacement bins or waste bags.
This is because our crews have to prioritise refuse collections and our recycling centres are closed to customers.
If you requested a bin or bag before the ‘stay at home’ measures were introduced we will try to deliver it to you but cannot guarantee this. We will be in touch with you to confirm.
