A flotilla of historic ship figureheads is returning to Plymouth next week to form a spectacular display in The Box.
The 14 figureheads weighing more than 20 tonnes in total have been fully restored before being installed in their new home, which is due to open next year.
The figureheads were carved in the 1800s and adorned the bows of naval vessels. They are on loan to The Box from the National Museums of the Royal Navy.

Now's the time to take advantage of breaks in the weather to do some tidying up in the garden, as the final garden waste collections of the season are due to take place.
When the collections finish at the end of the month you can take garden waste to Chelson Meadow or Weston Mill recycling centres, or try home composting.
if you're not sure when your collections are due you can always use our online bin day checker.

If you worry whether giving money to people begging on the street is the right thing to do there's now an easy alternative.
Our Make a Change campaign is providing places for people to make a small donation through contactless tap-to-give points, knowing the money will help rough sleepers and tackle the complex issues behind homelessness.
You can also use the StreetLink App to tell local teams about someone sleeping rough, so they can provide expert help.

The Barcode, Plymouth's latest visitor attraction, is now opening and our friends at Visit Plymouth are offering some top prizes to celebrate.
They include vouchers for the 12-screen cinema, meals in the new restaurants and a family ticket to the 18-hole indoor adventure golf course.
The Barcode, which includes a new 400-space car park, is on the site of the former bus station at Bretonside.

Wells are to be drilled deep below the planned Millbay Boulevard to help heat and cool future homes and businesses.
Two wells will be drilled 100 metres beneath Bath Street as part of our push for alternative sources of renewable heat.
The scheme for Millbay also includes ‘rain gardens’ – sunken beds planted with coastal grasses and flowering plants – which will be irrigated using the rain and flood water.
