Your operator’s licence is at risk!

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) have currently rated your operation as RED on the Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS) system!

In 2021-22, the traffic commissioners held 920 public inquiries into holders of licences who had failed to comply with the standards expected of them. In a third of these cases the licence was revoked. Operators with red scores comprise the majority of the cases heard at public inquiry.

You need to improve.

Over the next few weeks we will send you a set of messages to help you find the information you need to help yourselves improve your OCRS and become compliant.

You should work through these messages with your transport manager or the person responsible for the management of the vehicles.

Step one is to make sure you are signed up to OCRS! You should have already done this, but there is no time like the present to register to receive your Operator Compliance Risk Score Take this opportunity to review your roadside encounters and think about your weaknesses.

How DVSA use OCRS score

They produce a risk score with a red, amber or green rating. Red is for the highest risk of non-compliant operators, amber is medium risk and green is for low risk operators.

Your score affects how DVSA will target you, meaning they’ll be more likely to stop your vehicle if you’re a non-compliant operator compared to a vehicle registered to a compliant operator.

Just to remind you, you are currently rated RED.
