Keep you, your family and home safe by closing internal doors
Most of the residential fires that we respond to start in the kitchen, and by closing the door closest to that room, it can act as a barrier to smoke and fire.
We know that this can be difficult if you have pets or an open plan home, but there's other things you can do. You can try moving your pet's food and water bowl into an area away from the kitchen and make sure that everyone in the household is aware of possible escape routes.
Close your doors before going to bed, and sleep soundly knowing you’re protecting your family and your home.
You can find out more about our latest campaign, ‘Smoke is no joke’ on our website.
