Congratulations to PC Andy Blunt who alongside PD Bruce represented Essex Police’s Dog Unit at the National Police Dog Trials in Scotland last month.
Starting Monday 20 May, Bruce and his handler took part in the four-day event in Tulliallan, Scotland, competing in a series of trials including agility, searching and obedience.
A man has admitted robbing a teenage boy of his bicycle after he was identified and arrested just 30 minutes after committing the offence.
Daniel Steward, 27, of no fixed address, appeared before Basildon Crown Court on Wednesday 29 May, where he admitted a single charge of robbery.

Appeal to locate Martin Pjetri
We are appealing for the public's help to locate Martin Pjetri, 31, who is wanted in connection with an ongoing sexual offences investigation.
Pjetri from Leigh has connections across Southend as well as Kent.
He is described as a white man, of a stocky build and around 6ft tall. He has a tattoo of a symbol on his arm.
We are asking for the public's help to locate Pjetri. If you have seen him or have any information on his whereabouts, please contact us, quoting reference number 42/169583/23.

Officers have made two arrests as we continue our work to take drugs off the streets in Essex.
The arrests were made by our Operational Support Group (OSG), which is a specialist team who support other teams from across the force in carrying out activity which is vital to keep people safe and progress investigations.

Criminals set up fake websites or social media profiles to sell tickets for major events (such as sports, music or theatre) that don’t exist.
It is safer to book tickets through the event's official seller and use the secure payment methods recommended.
 I have found an injured animal, who can I contact?
If you find an injured or sick animal, you can phone a local vet who will be able to provide advice.
If you wish to catch and transport the animal, a vet will also be able to advise you how to do this safely. See the link in Related Information to find a local vet.
For larger injured wildlife, phone the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999 and do not try to catch the animal yourself.
The following animals cannot be handled or transported by the public:
