Chelmsford: Persistent shoplifter jailed for breaching order
She was made the subject of a five-year CBO on 29 January – imposing conditions intended to prevent her from committing further acts of public anti-social behaviour and theft.
 M25: Driver who fled collision sentenced
On Thursday 12 January last year, a BMW travelling along the M25 collided with a van as it drove towards the M11 at junction 27.
Shoeburyness: Appeal following serious assault
Officers responded to reports of a serious assault in the area of Elm Road, Shoeburyness, shortly before 6.45pm on Saturday 24 February.
Harlow: Woman charged with 50 counts of shop theft
This follows the theft of products, worth an estimated £4,300, from two shops in Harlow between October last year and February.
 Stolen vehicle found stashed in lorry on cloned plates
On Thursday 22 February, our Road Crime Team received information of a 7.5 tonne HGV in the Brentwood area, displaying false plates.
Hockley: Witness appeal after assault
Officers were called to reports of an assault in Leamington Road shortly before 3.10pm on Friday 23 February.

Another 29 arrests were made across Essex yesterday by officers targeting violent crime and anti-social behaviour.
 Harlow: Officers continue high visibility patrols of The Stow
The Stow is one of 13 hotspot patrolling zones across the county.
Colchester: Man excluded from HMV, TK Maxx and Cash Converters stores nationwide
He was arrested by a Town Centre Team officer for shop theft an hour after being charged and bailed for similar offences.
Castle Point: Man charged with breach of CBO and shoplifting
A man will appear in court charged in connection with breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order relating to shoplifting.
18 arrests for drugs, kidnapping, and collision offences
One person was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. Another was arrested on suspicion of theft from motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, cannabis possession and possession of a bladed article.
Two more suspects were arrested after breaching the terms of their court bail, and another who was wanted on recall to prison.
Chelmsford/Frinton: Drug and human trafficking charges
Officers in our Operational Policing Command carried out three warrants at addresses in Frinton-on-Sea and Chelmsford, arresting three suspects on suspicion of drugs offences on Wednesday 21 February.
Southend Special Constables completed a 17-mile charity walk in support of St Vincent de Paul Society.

Billericay: Man convicted of non-recent child sexual abuse
Following a trial at Basildon Crown Court, the 64-year-old was convicted of 16 counts relating to child sexual abuse carried out between the 1970s and 2000s.
Basildon / South Ockendon: Shoplifting brothers sentenced
They admitted stealing toiletries from Boots in Pitsea and groceries from the Co-op in South Ockendon.
Chelmsford: Woman charged with 12 shop thefts
She’s alleged to have stolen £3,918 of skincare products and perfume from the John Lewis store in the city.
Hatfield Peverel: Man injured following collision
A white Mercedes was in collision with a pedestrian in The Street, outside the East of England Co-op shortly before 6.05pm on Tuesday 13 February.
Harlow: Arrest within 15 minutes of assault
We were called to reports of a woman with a stab wound at flats in River Way shortly before 6am Wednesday 21 February.
 Harlow: Teen banned from shopping centre for two years
The order bans him from entering the Harvey Centre, any of the adjoining buildings, or the carpark for two years.
 17 more arrests after targeted activity across Essex
Officers have made 17 more arrests across Essex as they tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in our towns and on our roads.
 Basildon: Nine vehicles seized and two arrested after spot checks
Roads Policing officers stopped more than 60 vehicles as part of a proactive operation.
Southend: Three arrests made within twenty minute of robbery
Officers arrested a man and two boys within twenty minutes of a knifepoint robbery in Southend on Monday 19 February.
 Chelmsford: Woman jailed for 12 months for shoplifting
A woman, who stole wine from two supermarkets and damaged a police cell has been jailed for 12 months.
Loughton: Two charged with shoplifting
Two people have been charged with shoplifting offences, following arrests made by Epping Forest Town Centre Team on Sunday, 18 February.

Officers arrested 13 people in one day as they targeted anti-social behaviour and knife crime in Essex.
 Dealer jailed in landmark Essex Police nitrous oxide supply case
The 30-year-old offender was arrested in Basildon and his vehicle was found to contain drugs including ketamine and nitrous oxide.
Chelmsford: Serious assault investigation launched
We were called to reports a 17-year-old having been robbed and seriously assaulted in an alleyway between Springfield Green and Camborne Close.

 This week we remember
 John Frederick Shrimplin
John Shrimplin was passionate about motorcycles and soon after joining Essex Police, he transferred to the Traffic division and soon became a first class advanced Traffic motorcyclist. On 2 March 1970, John was patrolling on his motorcycle in Epping when he was struck and killed by a car which swerved into him from the opposite carriageway.
