We are launching our annual migration statistics system webinar to provide updates and answer questions relating to long-term international migration statistics.  

Attend the first event on Wednesday 20 March where we'll be discussing: 

• the latest provisional estimates 
• the methods and data sources used to produce provisional and updated estimates  
• assumption-setting processes  
• our future statistical system 
• international students 

As we improve population and migration statistics, we want to provide updates on the plans for transformation.  

In the coming weeks we will be publishing a plan for our population and migration statistics which will outline the proposal for the next two years to make greater use of admin data.

We welcome feedback on the level of information provided through this new quarterly update as we work with users to build greater understanding of the transformed population and migration statistical system. 

In January we published our latest population estimates by marital status and living arrangements for England and Wales. As part of our review of publications, we are seeking feedback from users on any needs that we are not currently meeting.  

We encourage users to provide feedback and responses on the tables that are the most useful. You can do this in two ways, either via the data tables, or by emailing the Population Statistics team with your comments.
