Today, the Office for National Statistics published analysis on older people living in care homes using Census 2021 data.
The article provides an overview of the care home population aged 65 years and over in England and Wales, compared with 2011, and covers characteristics such as:
sex
age
health
disability
ethnic group
care homes with and without nursing
Comparisons are also made between the proportion of older residents living in care homes by region and local authority.
