Comparisons to the non-veteran population are provided along with adjusted estimates that account for the differing demographics of the veteran and the non-veteran population.

This article supports our user engagement exercise. It explains the new prospective mortality assumption setting methodology and highlights findings from comparing this methodology with 2018-based and 2020-based national population projections produced using our current methodology.
